Third training centre for drone operators opened in Lviv region

The total budget of the project is UAH 600 thousand.

The day before, on 16 August, a scientific and practical centre for the Operator of Remotely Piloted Unmanned Aerial Vehicles was opened in Lviv region.

The total budget of the project is UAH 600 thousand, of which UAH 475 thousand are from the partner Ukrainian Training and Production Centre UNIVERSAL LLC and UAH 125 thousand from the institution’s special fund.

“The profession of drone operator is about yesterday, today and the future. Specialists in this field are in great demand in agriculture and beyond, and the work is very well paid,” says Ivan Pykus, Head of the Department of Innovation, Professional, Vocational and Higher Education at the Department of Education and Science of the Lviv Regional State Administration.

According to him, this project is an example of good synergy between business and vocational education.

In addition to students, adults will also be able to acquire the necessary skills at the NPC for Operators of Remotely Piloted Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. In addition, this innovative educational space will serve as a good professional guide for younger students.

Thus, Ivan Pykus thanked the director Vasyl Luzhetskyi and the staff of the institution, as well as the partners for their initiative and assistance in implementing the project.

“Special thanks to Iryna Shumik, Director General of the Directorate of Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education and Science, for taking part in the opening of the NPC. Together we will make vocational education even more prestigious and modern,” added Ivan Pykus.
