Memorial signs installed on graves of fallen soldiers in Lviv region

As part of the regional programme, 46 signs were installed last year.

The Capital Construction Department of the Lviv Regional State Administration, together with the Municipal Enterprise of the Lviv Regional Council “Real Estate and Property”, installed memorial signs on the graves of fallen defenders of Ukraine.

The construction work was carried out by the contractor, Volodymyr Kryskiv, as part of the comprehensive social support programme in Lviv Oblast for ATO (JFO) participants, ATO volunteers, Defenders of Ukraine, their families, and the families of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes for 2021-2025.

At the expense of the regional budget, 46 memorial signs were made and installed on the graves of the soldiers.

The contractor completed a number of works, including dismantling old graves, planning and landscaping, levelling the ground, breaking up graves, installing lintels on two rows, and installing monuments.

In particular, 37 memorials to fallen defenders in Lviv were installed at Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv, 1 in Vynnyky, Lviv district, 5 on the Alley of Glory in Stryi, 1 in Berezhnytsia, Stryi district, 1 in Liubyntsi, Stryi district and 1 in Ralivka, Sambir district.

“The memorials were placed on the graves of the fallen and deceased defenders of Ukraine and war veterans. The price of independence and freedom is high. We remember those Heroes who keep the peaceful sky above us and those who fight for freedom every day at the cost of their own lives,” said Roman Dulia, acting head of the Capital Construction Department.
