Station for processing food and garden waste in Lviv, located on the street Plastova, 13, continues to work efficiently and break records. So, on October 19, the station received 62 cars of organics – this was a record for 2022 in terms of the number of cars that brought organics for composting.
“Out of these 62 cars, 49 cars brought fallen leaves with a total weight of 66,700 kg,” the “Green City” LKP reported.
We will remind you that the most ecological way to dispose of fallen leaves is to compost them, thus forming a special fertilizer. To do this, you can independently prepare a special tank or pit, put leaves there, ensure air access and moderately moisten. This waste will then turn into useful compost to feed plants.
