In Lviv, work on the construction of a pedestrian crossing on the street is being completed. Y. Slipogo, 31. The corresponding decision to improve pedestrian safety was made in October at the city road safety commission. The stairs used by residents to cross the road have also been restored here. In addition, LKP “Lvivsvitlo” arranges street lighting in this location. This was reported in the Lychakiv district administration.
“Earlier there was no pedestrian crossing here. That is, there was neither appropriate marking nor necessary road signs. There is no heavy traffic here, but for the safety of pedestrians, they decided to regularize and legalize the crossing. A “zebra” has already been drawn here, the necessary road signs have been installed. We also restored the old stairs that lead to the transition. We are still finishing the platform between the stairs and the “zebra”, – said Vasyl Palivoda, the head of the communal economy department of the Lychakiv district administration.
A new pedestrian crossing will also be installed in the Sykhiv district – at the intersection of Pymonenko-Hlibna streets. “This area is being actively developed, so there was a need to arrange the crossing. We plan to complete the work by the end of this month,” said Volodymyr Ivasyuk, deputy head of the Sykhiv district administration.
