In the Lviv region, it is proposed to rename Chervonograd, Chervone and other settlements
Such recommendations were provided by the National Commission on State Language Standards. The list applies to all areas. This was reported by the deputy of the Lviv Regional Council, Zakhar Mylyanyk.
For the Lviv Oblast, the following were recognized as inconsistent with the lexical norms of the Ukrainian language and those related to Russian imperial policy (Russian colonial policy):
⛔️ the city of Chervonograd
⛔️ Peremozhne and Chervone villages
The commission named 7 more settlements as those that may not meet the lexical norms of the Ukrainian language, in particular, related to Russian imperial policy (Russian colonial policy). It:
🔺 Krasne town and village (2 objects)
🔺Zavodske, Trudove, Trudolyubivka, Krasnosiltsi and Krasnytsia villages
And for 14 villages of the Lviv region, it is proposed to simply bring the name into compliance with the current Ukrainian spelling.
These are Kizya (Kizzya), Chishki (Chishki), Iordanivka (Yordanivka), Oryhivchyk (Oryhivchyk), Listvyaniy (Listyane, Listvyane), Krasychyn (Krasychyn), Honchary (Potters), Horishnyi (Horishnye), Bystryi ( Bystre), Kurny (Kurne), Maly (Male), Smolyan (Smolyan), Pisotsky (Pisotske), Pidgorodne (Pidgorodne).
