Marking, ramp and information board: pl. Dvirtseva and the railway station building in Lviv will become more accessible

In Lviv, they will update the identification on the square. Dvirtseva and in the building of the main railway station. And at the entrance to the main ticket office of the station, a ramp will be installed. Improvement of accessibility and navigation at this location will be carried out with grant funds from the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). This was reported in the street infrastructure department of the LMR.

The new navigation is being developed by Yehor Kaliberda, the author of electric transport movement schemes and stop identification within the scope of the activities of the public organization Center of City Service. The day before, at the workshop, the working group presented the developed typology of navigation elements.

“The new navigation system will take into account the various needs and situations of city residents and visitors. The participants of the workshop discussed and, in particular, proposed specific locations of information stands/signposts,” the street infrastructure department of the Lviv City Council noted.

Also, at the exit from the station, an electronic board with information about the arrival/departure of buses and trams will appear.

In addition, within the limits of the grant funds, the installation of a ramp at the entrance to the main ticket hall of the station is planned. “It will perform its function until the major reconstruction of the entrance to the station, which Ukrzaliznytsia plans to carry out,” the LMR infrastructure department added.
