Patrol Officers Completed Road Inspection in Lviv Region: Results and Measures
Traffic safety inspectors in cooperation with road service representatives have completed the spring commission inspection of the street-road network in Lviv region.
Special attention to accident-prone areas
The patrol officers paid special attention to accident-prone areas and places with high accident concentration. The police ensured they were equipped with the necessary technical means.
All identified issues such as road surface potholing, rutting, shoulder lowering, lack of road signs, and other deficiencies were documented in the spring commission inspection reports and the scope of work needed for their elimination was determined.
- As a result of the inspection, patrol officers issued 113 orders and requirements to eliminate deficiencies in violation of the rules, standards regarding the maintenance of the street-road network, specifying deadlines for their elimination.
- Issued 65 rulings against officials under part 1 of Article 140 (Violation of rules, standards related to ensuring road safety in the maintenance of highways and streets, railway crossings, other road facilities) of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
- Prepared 3 protocols under part 4 of Article 140 (Deficiencies in road maintenance that led to the creation of a dangerous situation or damage to vehicles, cargoes, highways, streets, railway crossings, road facilities, or other property) of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
- Also, completed 2 protocols under Article 188-28 (Failure to comply with lawful demands of officials authorized by subdivisions of the National Police in administrative materials for violation of rules, standards in the field of ensuring road safety regarding the maintenance of the street-road network) of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
