The corresponding decision was made during the session of the Lviv Regional Council.
During the regular meeting held on July 4, 2023, the deputies of the Lviv Regional Council supported the decision to organize the territory of the regional landscape park “Stilske Gorbohirya”.
By the adopted decision, the area of the nature protection object was regulated, in particular, thanks to the consideration of the materials of the land inventory of the Lviv Forestry branch, which was carried out during 2019-2022, the area of the park was increased by more than 40 hectares.
Oksana Viytyk, acting director director of the department of ecology and natural resources of the Lviv regional state administration, notes that the increase in the area of objects of the nature reserve fund contributes to the preservation of valuable natural complexes of the Lviv region.
As of today, 413 territories and objects of the nature reserve fund with an area of 181.8 thousand hectares, which is 8.3% of the area of the region, are functioning within the borders of the Lviv Region.
During 2023, deputies of the Lviv Regional Council supported the decision to create six objects of the nature reserve fund, with an area of more than 1,600 hectares.
