Today, March 27, the first social hairdressing salon in the city was opened in the premises of the office of the Drohobytsk district branch of the Lviv regional organization of the Red Cross Society.
The initiative was implemented thanks to the BraVo project. This is a program of the Red Cross Society, which provides an opportunity to raise funds to support the community, help socially vulnerable categories of the population, and contribute to the implementation of projects needed by the community.
The deputy mayor for social and humanitarian relations Yury Kushlyk, representatives of the social protection department, the regional head of the Red Cross Society Ivan Semerak, and the coordinator of the BraVo program Alina Kravchenko were invited to the opening of the social hairdresser.
Thus, the head of the Drohobych organization of the Red Cross Society, Lyubov Klymyshyn, together with her colleagues, spoke about the activities and implemented projects. The Red Cross Society provides broad and comprehensive humanitarian aid and support to all those who need it most. The society actively develops such areas as humanitarian aid, care at home, restoration of family ties, clothing bank, psychosocial support and rental of rehabilitation equipment.
Thank you very much for the invitation to the opening of such an important place. You do a lot of work, so a big thank you and a low bow to all the workers and volunteers for the work that is necessary for many categories of our population. People really feel your support. We, in turn, will try to support and promote your work in every possible way. We will develop together to support and help those who need it,” said Deputy Mayor Yuriy Kushlyk.
Hair salons work on the basis of a charitable contribution and are equipped with everything you need – you can wash your hair, get a haircut or a hairstyle here. During March, the hairdressing salon worked in test mode, and from April it will actively provide services.
