The purpose of the event was to create a promotional campaign about Lviv region for residents and potential tourists from the USA.
On January 6, journalists and a representative of the travel operator Rebuild Ukraine Travel from New York visited Lviv Oblast as part of a promotion that will last until January 16.
Among the guests:
Jason Green is a media journalist from New York. The author of the travel blog “One Good Dad”, dedicated to family travel. Worked with the following companies: Disney, Royal Caribbean, Marriott, Universal Studios, Hilton, Wyndham. He writes travel columns in the following publications: The New York Times, Wallstreet Journal, The Daily News and Huffington Post.
Joshua Brandenburg is a New York-based photographer. He has been engaged in professional filming for 13 years. He conducted shootings in Europe, Asia, North and South America, the main profile of which is tourism. He photographs nature, landscapes, tourist locations.
Sasha Vosk is a member of the New York State Tourism Association and Skal International’s New York Club. President of the “Rebuild Ukraine” charity organization.
He has 20 years of experience in marketing programs on television and logistics management in the field of tourism, and also has Ukrainian roots.
The purpose of the visit is to create a promotional campaign about Lviv region for residents and potential tourists from the USA.
During their stay in the Lviv region, the guests had the opportunity to visit Novoyavorivska, Bibrska, Truskavetska, Skhidnytska, Skolivska, Slavska and Kozivska communities, as well as the city of Lviv.
As part of the promotion, the participants visited: a master class on making Yavoriv toys, spa complexes of the Lviv region, recreation complexes and hotels, winter recreation, tasted the gastronomic delicacies of the region, visited historical, cultural and attractive locations of the region, got acquainted with the treatment base of the city of Truskavets.
As a result of the event, the guests created a large amount of photo and video content and information, which will be published in the American media as one of the elements of the promotion of Lviv Oblast.
In the future, the participants plan to discuss the development of travel packages for end consumers in the USA and the participation of business representatives in the Washington DC Travel Show 2024, which will be held at the end of February.
“It should be noted that not a single hryvnia was spent from the regional budget for this promotion. All costs were agreed to be provided by the business partners, for which we are very grateful to them, who, in difficult times, find opportunities for the development and promotion of the tourism industry,” says Taras Lozynskyi, head of tourism and resort management of OVA.
