Drohobych has recently handed over additional equipment to military units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces. The equipment was purchased as part of the targeted programme to support the Ukrainian Defence Forces, which is funded from the local budget and implemented by Screen Service.
The equipment was handed over by First Deputy Mayor Roman Beizik, together with Oleksandr Tomashenko, Head of the Screen Service Utility Company, and Oleksiy Sukhov, Head of the Department of Social, Psychological, Legal Support and Interaction with Defenders and Their Families.
The Drohobych City Council reminded that this year, as part of the Programme to Support the Defence Forces of Ukraine, the Drohobych community budget financed the purchase of various military equipment totalling UAH 6 million 829 thousand. The purchased equipment includes several portable electronic warfare systems, anti-drone systems, repeaters, portable radio stations, tactical uniforms for military special forces, and support for local military units and formations.
The relevant programme in the Drohobych community has been approved until 2028. Next year, the amount of funding for the programme is planned to increase.
