Clarification regarding preferential transportation of passengers in public transport
On April 25, by Resolution No. 383 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, quarantine was extended throughout the territory of Ukraine until June 30, 2023.
In view of this, the decision of the Executive Committee of the Chervonograd City Council No. 41 of March 25, 2021 remains valid. According to this decision, for the duration of the quarantine, motor carriers are obliged to comply with social standards in the field of passenger transport services, to transport all preferential categories of passengers in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On State Social Standards and State Social Guarantees”. Article 19 of this law states that benefits for payment of transport services are determined exclusively by the laws of Ukraine.
According to the current laws of Ukraine, benefits for free travel in public transport are not provided to old-age pensioners and persons of the 3rd group of disabilities. Therefore, on city and suburban routes of public use, travel for them remains paid for the duration of the quarantine.
