As part of the Lion’s Revenge initiative, Lviv City Hall has purchased 50 drones and two electronic warfare systems for the defenders of Ukraine at the expense of the community. The total amount of assistance was UAH 7.34 million.
Today, on 8 July, 50 DJI Mavic 3T/3E/3 quadcopters and two electronic warfare systems were handed over to various military units.
It is worth noting that Lviv constantly provides funds for defence and support of the military defending Ukraine from Russian occupants. In accordance with the city’s programme of support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, at the request of military brigades and units, the city buys what is urgently needed at the front line or provides subventions for it. These are drones, cars, radios, and various specialised technical items. The procurement is part of the Lion’s Revenge initiative.
During the first 6 months of 2024, UAH 463 million was allocated from the city budget for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
