Last week, it was re-examined by the advisory board at the Department of Architecture and Urban Development of the Lviv Oblast.
The historical-architectural reference plan is a document containing information about cultural heritage objects, the territories of monuments, nature reserves, the boundaries of historical areas and protection zones of cultural heritage monuments. Its main task is to ensure the preservation of architectural, cultural, and historical objects of heritage.
“For the first time, the scientific and project documentation of the historical and architectural reference plan of the city of Sokal was presented for consideration by the advisory board in 2021. Then it was returned for revision: the main comments related to issues of archeology, dating of cultural heritage objects, and historical stages of the city’s formation. This time, during the discussion, certain recommendations were also given to the developer, after which the members of the advisory board unanimously voted for the local self-government body to send this documentation to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine for approval,” comments Olena, director of the department of architecture and development of urban planning of Lviv OVA Vasylko
Among other issues that were considered at the advisory council, two scientific and project documentations in the city of Dobromil:
“Determining the limits and modes of use of the protection zones of the historical monument of local importance “Brother’s grave of the victims of repression”. It is a monument that represents the tragic events of Salina, where in June 1941 the punitive bodies of the NKVD executed about 3,600 Ukrainians before retreating.
“Definition of boundaries and modes of use of the territory of the architectural monument of local importance “Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord XVI-XVIII centuries., oh. No. 512-M”.
Both were recommended to be approved with revisions and taking into account comments.
The members of the advisory council also considered the issue of the monastery ensemble. Voskresentsiv, on Pekarska Street in the city of Lviv. And they recommended the department to contact the local self-government body regarding the development of accounting documentation for the purpose of making changes to the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine in order to ensure the protection of each object of the ensemble separately.
