As LKP “Lvivavtodor” informs, the process of debiting funds from general LeoCards for trips in city public transport, made after a hacker attack on the e-ticket system, has been completed.
Accordingly, the current amount of the current balance is already displayed on the transport cards. Currently, payment of fares with general LeoCards, as well as with bank cards, takes place in the usual mode.
Deductions from transport cards for successfully registered tickets from March 28 to April 3 took place gradually. Now, when all withdrawal operations for these validations have already been completed, the balance on the transport cards is displayed up-to-date. If, due to debits for previous trips, a “minus” has formed on your LeoCard due to a lack of funds, it is necessary to top up the card by the appropriate amount in order to use it again.
Today, LeoKart pass validations take place as usual. When checking the balance through the validator and EasyPay services, the amount on the card is shown taking into account the newly registered trip.
We would like to remind you that you can top up your LeoKart through branded “Interpress” kiosks and EasyPay services,” Lvivavtodor LKP noted.
The utility company added that the process of debiting funds from bank cards for trips made after unauthorized intervention in the e-ticket system has also been practically completed. But they remind that the withdrawal of funds could take place both in one transaction for all trips made by one medium during these days, and in different payments. It depended on the sequence of validation processing.
“From April 4, non-cash payment of travel by bank cards is carried out as usual. Namely: you are validated, the trips made during the day are combined into one payment, and the write-off takes place over the following days.
Important: if the required amount was not on the card during the attempt to debit travel funds, the bank will make repeated debit attempts at a certain frequency.
If the withdrawal of funds from the card was unsuccessful, the e-ticket system will block the card. Unlocking will take place after successful withdrawal of travel funds. So in order to avoid blocking the card, make sure in advance that there is a sufficient balance on the account”, LKP “Lvivavtodor” emphasized.
As for preferential LeoCards, according to the utility company, work is still underway to restore about 3,500 preferential profiles, the data of which was probably damaged during a hacker attack.
We will remind, on the night of March 29, a hacker attack on the electronic ticket system in Lviv was recorded. An appeal was sent to the Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine regarding this fact. The police have opened criminal proceedings and are conducting investigations.
