The work planned for 2023 on the implementation of the project “Reconstruction of radial sumps at the district sewage treatment facilities of the city of Drohobych, located in the village of Ranevichi of Drohobytsky District, Lviv Region”.
The work project envisages the reconstruction of two primary radial clarifiers of the reserve line of cleaning of district sewage treatment plants, replacement of technological equipment of metal structures (fem), replacement of pumping equipment, pipelines, shut-off valves, power electrical equipment in the premises of the sewage pumping station. The total estimated cost of construction works is UAH 22.5 million.
This year, according to the project, work was carried out to replace the worn out technological equipment of the metal structures (trusses) of the fifth radial sedimentation tank, overhaul of the construction part of the primary radial sedimentation tanks was carried out, drainage sewers were built around the sedimentation tanks, technological pipelines and pumping equipment in the premises of the pumping station were replaced and stainless steel shutters are installed on the distribution channels. Today, final and commissioning works are being carried out. The project is scheduled to be fully completed by the end of 2024.
The funds of the regional environmental protection fund – UAH 7.9 million and the local budget – UAH 5.3 million were used for the execution of the specified works.
Oksana Viytyk, acting director the director of the department of ecology and natural resources notes: “The treatment facilities where work is being carried out carry out wastewater treatment in the cities of Drohobych, Stebnyk, Truskavets, Boryslav and 13 villages of Drohobych and Stryi districts. The implementation of the project on the reconstruction of the radial settling tanks at the sewage treatment facilities of the city of Drohobych, which have become unfit for use over many years of operation, will ensure the process of stable deep biological treatment of domestic sewage with a capacity of 64 thousand m3/day for about 100 thousand users, will minimize the threat of pollution environment and will stop the pollution of the Tysmennytsia River, which belongs to the Dniester River basin.”
