The result of the reconstruction will improve living conditions for 5,219 residents of Davydivska hromada.
Employees of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of Lviv Oblast inspected the progress of works on the reconstruction of sewage treatment facilities in the village of Davidiv of the Davidiv territorial community.
The total estimated cost of the project is UAH 28.4 million. The event was implemented with the funds of the regional environmental protection fund and the local budget. This year, 19.6 million hryvnias were allocated from the regional environmental protection fund and 8.4 million hryvnias from the local budget.
As of today, the construction work is almost completed. 44 km of water flow, 212 sq. m. of aerotanks and 382 sq. m. of open bio-plateau were installed on the site. Technological equipment was purchased and installed. It remains to carry out the improvement of the territory and commissioning works.
“As a result of the implementation of the project, which began in 2020, morally and physically outdated sewage treatment facilities with a capacity of 500 m3/day will be fully restored, which in turn will ensure effective wastewater treatment, stop the pollution of the Davydivka River, which is the basin of the Dniester River, and improve living conditions for 5,219 residents of the Davydivska community” – noted Oksana Viytyk, acting head of Director of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of Lviv Oblast.
