A shelter for forcibly displaced Ukrainians was opened in the Lviv community

In Veliki Hrybovychy, in the Lviv MTG, a stationary shelter for forcibly displaced people was opened. Housing was arranged in the premises of the local People’s House. Families of military personnel defending Ukraine from the Russian occupier will also live here. And also – widows and orphans of soldiers who gave their lives for our country. The day before, the first families settled here. Yuriy Lukashevskyi, the director of the city agglomeration department of the LMR, told about it.

“The first settlement in the shelter was not public. After all, mothers with children have to arrange their lives, get used to a new home, and after that – welcome guests.

The media representatives will soon be able to inspect the shelter and talk to its residents,” Yuriy Lukashevsky assured.

It will be recalled that the unfinished People’s House began to be equipped as a shelter in August. The building has 18 rooms and one large room – a place for rest, a dining room and a kitchen have been arranged here. There are also 8 shower and 10 toilet cabins, two rooms for washing and drying clothes. In total, 80 people can live in the shelter.

The CU of the City Institute, LKP “Rembud”, GIZ, the Maltese Relief Service and many caring people joined the arrangement of housing for IDPs in Veliki Hrybovychy.

“And after our victory, the People’s House will be given back its primary function,” Yuriy Lukashevsky emphasized.
