In Lviv, lanterns were dismantled from trees in Pohulyanka Park, which residents had installed at their own discretion

According to the Lychakiv Park subsidiary of the Lviv municipal enterprise Green Lviv, the lanterns that residents installed without permission have already been dismantled.

When a special commission visited the site and inspected the trees, no damage was found.

Residents of private houses located on the territory adjacent to the park illegally attached two lanterns to trees in the Pogulyanka forest park. After clarifying the circumstances, they voluntarily dismantled the structures.

Today, the park staff, together with representatives of the municipal enterprise Administrative and Technical Management and a gardener from the Lychakiv district, inspected the trees on which the structures were installed.

According to Lychakiv Park, the solar lanterns were lightweight, so they did not harm the trees. This was confirmed by a gardener in the Lychakiv district. According to her, there is no visual damage to the trees.

Currently, only the central alley is illuminated in Pohulyanka Park, so now the park staff will work with residents to develop options for lighting the entrance to the park.
