Training “How to communicate about non-communicable diseases and healthy life” will be held for journalists in Lviv

As part of the training, the Center for Knowledge on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) will be opened.

When: October 6 (Thursday) at 10:00 AM
Where: Lviv, str. Kostya Levytskoho, 14 (Lviv NCD Knowledge Center)

We are all people with our own way of life, habits – good and not so good. Someone abuses sweets due to stress, someone does not move much due to heavy workloads at work, and someone simply ignores disease prevention because they “don’t have time” to visit a doctor.

At the training you:

learn why it is important to communicate about health and non-communicable diseases and
learn how to do it more convincingly with the help of the media guide;
you will be able to assess your own risk factors for the development of NCDs, as well as take the first steps to meet your own healthy habits;
learn about the activities of the NCD Knowledge Center and how it can be useful in your work.

To register for the training, fill out the online form: https://forms.gle/E8nrKVeNxWEVE2BGA

The following are invited to participate in the press briefing:

Orest Chemerys, director director of the Department of Health Protection of the Lviv Regional State Administration;
Kateryna Rymarenko, political coordinator of the Ukrainian-Swiss project “Acting for Health”;
Maryana Sluzhynska, head of the Lviv Regional Information and Analytical Center for Medical Statistics;
Bohdan Khobzei, coordinator of the Knowledge Center in Lviv, doctor of the Lviv Regional Information and Analytical Center of Medical Statistics.

Participants will receive a detailed training program after registration. The event will be held live within the framework of the Ukrainian-Swiss project “Acting for Health”.

The project can cover travel expenses if you represent regional mass media and will travel to Lviv from another city.

The NCD Knowledge Center is a center of expertise on NCD prevention and control, providing support to all partners working in NCDs or related sectors in the region.

The Ukrainian-Swiss project “Acting for Health” helps Ukrainians to achieve active longevity and prevent premature mortality from non-communicable diseases by implementing integrated approaches to the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases at the state level and target regions (in Lviv, Rivne, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions).
