The traffic pattern at the intersection of Bohdanivska and Plastova streets in Lviv has been changed. In particular, an additional lane for the right turn onto Plastova Street was arranged.
These changes have improved traffic safety and increased the capacity of the roundabout at the intersection. This was reported by the Lychakiv District Administration.
“The road infrastructure at the Bohdanivska-Plastova intersection has been improved. “Business representatives in the area of Bohdanivska and Plastova streets drew attention to logistical difficulties and traffic jams in the area. This issue was worked out. As a result, the Institute of Spatial Development developed an updated traffic management scheme at the intersection of Bohdanivska and Plastova streets. The scheme was approved by the Patrol Police Department in Lviv region.
In particular, the carriageway was widened to allow for two lanes of traffic. We also installed a safety island, modern road signs, new pedestrian crossings and new road markings.
The implemented measures have significantly improved traffic safety and increased the capacity of the roundabout at the intersection, which helped to reduce congestion, streamline business logistics and save time for road users,” the Lychakiv District Administration said.
