As reported by the Galician District Administration, today, 22 July, large-scale asphalt pavement repairs on Ozarkevycha Street are starting.
As a result, the entire street (from Metropolitan Andrey Street to Horodotska Street) will be closed to traffic. The works will last approximately until 30 July. A total of 1200 m2 of pavement will be repaired.
“The special equipment is already on site. The contractor is carrying out preparatory work and starting repairs.
The need to repair Ozarkevycha Street is caused by the poor state of the street’s pavement due to the high traffic on it. And given that the street is not wide and large-sized special equipment will be used, the work will have to be carried out with traffic blocking, so there may be inconveniences for private vehicle drivers,” the Galician District Administration said.
According to the transport department of the Lviv City Council, Ozarkevycha Street is a transit street, where private car drivers used to drive from S. Bandera Street, along Metropolyt Andrey Street to Ozarkevycha Street and exit to Horodotska Street. Therefore, during the repair works, it is better to turn from Bandera Street to Kropyvnytskoho Square to exit to Horodotska Street. Otherwise, if you go down Metropolytoho Andriyu Street to Ozarkevycha Street and encounter a blockage, you will have to go around Sheptytskikh Street. And this will be a longer way.
The Halychyna District Administration apologises for the inconvenience.
