City Hall continues to train drivers of city buses, trams and trolleybuses. The first meeting this year took place the day before, on Friday, January 12. In general, they talked about the correct communication of drivers with different categories of passengers and people with reduced mobility in particular. About 60 drivers took part in the training.
According to Oleg Zabaryl, director of the department of urban mobility and street infrastructure of the LMR, at this meeting drivers were told how to properly interact with passengers with reduced mobility and how they should help them use public transport. They also talked about the peculiarities of communicating with beneficiaries, military personnel, and students.
Lviv native Ihor Dyakovych, who has a disability, was invited to the meeting. He told what difficulties people with disabilities face when using public transport, how to properly communicate with people with reduced mobility, so that conflicts do not arise.
“Training for drivers takes place on an ongoing basis. We work together so that our drivers improve, are as correct as possible with all passengers and that there are fewer and fewer complaints about their work,” Oleg Zabarylo stressed.
By the end of January, such training is planned for the next group of drivers.
