Starting 19 May, a part of Drahomanova Street in Lviv will be closed for two months for major repairs of the road surface and sidewalks.
The works will cover the area from Hlibova Street to Kotsiubynskoho Street. According to the Halytska district administration, the total area to be repaired is 2,500 m². Private vehicle traffic will be completely restricted for the time being, “public transport on Drahomanova Street will not run,” the press service of the Lviv City Council reports.
The main goal is a comprehensive renovation of the street, including paving and repair of the asphalt concrete pavement. “The need to repair Drahomanova Street is due to the unsatisfactory condition of the road surface and sidewalks,” the district’s SRP explains. The sidewalks will also be completed, as some of them were already arranged last year.
It is worth recalling that back in February 2025, the sidewalk on the odd-numbered side of the street was completed. Lowered curbs and tactile navigation for the visually impaired were installed there. Earlier, the adjacent part of Hlibova Street was also upgraded to a new shelter on Popovycha Street.
