In Lviv, carriers were issued 155 fines for not allowing the appropriate number of vehicles on the routes

The city transport department regularly records non-fulfillment of contractual obligations on a number of routes served by three private carriers – “Fiakr”, “Mira and K” and ATP-16430. This is, in particular, about the failure to release the appropriate number of buses. Therefore, 155 fines totaling UAH 263,000 have been imposed on carriers since the beginning of the year due to these violations.

The transport department says that “Fiakr” and “Mira and K” have the most fines – 63 and 61. Therefore, these companies must pay UAH 107,000 and almost 104,000, respectively, for non-fulfillment of the terms of the contracts. Another 31 fines for a total amount of almost UAH 53,000 were issued by ATP-14630.

In particular, the “Fiakr” company does not ensure the proper release of transport on four lines. Yes, only 1 bus runs on route #17 instead of 6. On route #13 – 3 buses instead of 6. On route #34 – 5 buses instead of 12. On route #41 – 6 buses instead of 15.

As for “Mira and K”, the company does not fulfill its obligations on route No. 27 – it releases bus 1 instead of 6 on route No. 8. It also violates traffic schedules on route No. 8.

Transport operator ATP-14630 does not allow transport on route No. 21 – there are only 4 buses instead of 10.

“We hope that the imposed fines will encourage carriers to resume the proper operation of problem routes. If they continue to be unable to fulfill their contractual obligations, the Department of Urban Mobility and Street Infrastructure will consider the possibility of early termination of contracts and replacement of carriers on the specified routes,” said Orest Oleskiv, head of the transport department.

In addition, last year in Lviv, carriers were issued 819 fines for non-compliance with the terms of contracts. The sum of funds paid to the city budget amounted to almost UAH 1.4 million.
