90% of Traffic Lights in Lviv Now Have Backup Power

As of today, 150 out of 170 traffic light systems maintained by LKP “Lvivavtodor” are equipped with backup power. This means that 90% of the city’s traffic lights can operate without interruptions during power outages.

Specialists at LKP “Lvivavtodor” are working intensively, including weekends, to ensure that the remaining traffic lights are powered as quickly as possible, improving road safety.

“We aimed to provide backup power to 90% of traffic lights by the end of the year, but we are already ahead of schedule. By the year’s end, we plan to reach 95%. In 2025, all traffic lights in Lviv will have backup power because traffic safety is our top priority,” said Mykola Vlasyuk, Director of LKP “Lvivavtodor.”

LKP “Lvivavtodor” currently maintains 170 traffic light systems, which include over 2,000 individual traffic lights across the city.
