Before the Day of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, the memory of 18 Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred from Lviv and the region was honored in Lviv’s city hall by posthumously awarding them the ‘Order of Saint George’. Their families received the awards. Lviv City Council notes that the feat of these individuals inspired and continues to inspire the soldiers who defended Ukraine in 2014 and 2022. Thanks to their efforts, thousands of Ukrainians risk their lives daily. Over the past 11 years, Ukraine’s struggle against a powerful enemy has been unprecedented, but it is precisely because of each of these heroes that our country exists today. Sincere gratitude and deep respect to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and their families.
