According to the Lviv City Council’s security department, parking inspectors fined 3,474 drivers for violating the rules of stopping/parking last week, totaling UAH 1,273,520. The proceeds from the fines for improper parking are used, among other things, for the needs of our military.
The minimum fine is UAH 340. However, depending on the specifics of the offense, it may increase to UAH 680. If the offending driver pays the fine within 10 days, the amount is halved.
Also, 124 vehicles were evacuated to the impound lot last week due to parking violations.
In total, since the beginning of the year and as of March 7, parking inspectors have issued 32,870 fines for violating the rules of stopping/parking cars totaling UAH 12 million.
In addition, 1,095 vehicles were evacuated to the impound lot due to parking violations.
In total, since the beginning of the year, the city treasury has received UAH 12 million from the payment of fines for improper parking. This includes funds from the payment of fines issued in 2023. It should be noted that the funds from the payment of fines for improper parking are used, in particular, for the needs of our military.
The Lviv City Council urges drivers not to park their cars in violation of traffic rules, in particular, under the “no stopping” or “no parking” signs, or at intersections. Chaotic parking impedes traffic and creates a danger for all road users.
