7 emergency balconies have been repaired in Lviv’s Lychakiv district, and three more are in the works

7 dangerous balconies have already been repaired in Lychakiv district under the co-financing program, where 80% of the cost is paid by the city and 20% by the resident who owns the apartment where the balcony is located. Another 3 balconies are currently being repaired.

“Emergency balconies are getting a new life. We are grateful to the conscious residents. Thanks to our cooperation, 7 individual emergency balconies have already been repaired in our neighborhood, and 3 are in the works.

In particular, the balconies were repaired at:

– 21 Pekarska str,

– 1 Smolskoho St,

– 41 Rufa St,

– 15 Mechnikova St,

– 7 Mechnikova St,

– 10 Korolova St,

– 8 Kryvonos Street.

And balconies on Klenovycha Street, 91 Levytskoho Street, and 17 Tarnavskoho Street are being repaired,” the Lychakiv District Administration reported.

Last year, all balconies in apartment buildings in Lviv were inspected. It was found that 9270 individual balconies and 4201 common balconies were in poor condition. Therefore, residents who own apartments with dangerous balconies can take advantage of the co-financing programs for balcony repairs that operate in Lviv.

Thus, residents who own balconies in architectural monuments can apply for participation in the Program of co-financing the restoration of balconies in residential buildings that are architectural monuments. Owners of individual balconies in buildings that are not architectural monuments and are in poor condition can apply for a special program to support co-owners of apartment buildings in carrying out urgent or major repairs, reconstruction, repair and restoration of common property in apartment buildings of the Lviv City Council.

The balcony will be repaired on a co-financing basis: 80% will be paid by the city, and 20% will be paid by the resident. So last year, thanks to this program, 49 balconies were repaired – 40 individual balconies and 9 common ones.
