The Lviv City Council approved the State Monitoring Program in the field of atmospheric air protection of the Lviv City Territorial Community.
This will make it possible to expand the air quality monitoring network and attract additional investments. This decision was approved today, March 28, at a session of the Lviv City Council.
According to the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Lviv City Council, the atmospheric air monitoring program is state-owned and approved by the Ministry. Therefore, the Lviv City Council approves it for implementation.
“This program makes it possible to expand the monitoring network of atmospheric air quality, to analyze and process these data. We will expand the capabilities of our laboratory of the utility enterprise “Administrative and Technical”, and in the future, if funds are available, we have identified 7 points that we will install,” said Halyna Mykitchak, head of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Lviv City Council.
This program allows the city to work with entrepreneurs, especially in industrial zones, and attract co-financing opportunities for the installation of air quality monitoring points.
