Reconstruction continues at the regional clinical psychiatric hospital

Representatives of the Economic Policy Department of the Lviv Regional State Administration inspected the progress of the renovation works.

The Lviv Regional Clinical Psychiatric Hospital is one of the largest neuropsychiatric institutions in Ukraine, providing a full range of psychiatric care from emergency to planned inpatient care and rehabilitation.

“There is no need to prove the importance of this institution in times of war, as more than 30,000 patients (including 4,500 military personnel and 2,600 internally displaced persons) have received help here since the start of the full-scale invasion. That is why UAH 25.7 million was approved from the regional budget as part of the Programme for the Implementation of Priority Infrastructure Projects to repair this hospital,” said Orest Hryniv, Acting Director of the Economic Policy Department of the Lviv Regional State Administration.

Currently, these funds are being used to repair the admission, diagnostic and intensive care units and the clinical and diagnostic laboratory.

Thus, as of today, the department has already replaced windows and doors, heating, water supply, sewerage, and electrical systems, and the installation of a ventilation system is at the final stage. The tiling works in the bathrooms and showers have been completed. We have started finishing plastering the walls and laying linoleum flooring. In addition, the area around the outlet has been landscaped, and work is underway on the entrance group in compliance with inclusion requirements.
