A new park with a lake will be built in Shevchenkivskyi district of Lviv

Lviv will have more than 3 hectares of park with a lake on Lypynskoho-Lincoln Street. This will be the eighth park in Lviv to have a pond. According to the Department of Urban Development, the city council is currently engaged in active preparatory work.

“The documents for the preservation of the new green zone in Lviv are almost ready. There is a cadastral number, and a land management project has been developed. It should be approved at the next session,” the city’s land resources department said.

The park will be officially managed by the Lviv utility company Green Lviv. It will also include a nearby lake. In the future, it will be reconstructed and then turned into a public space.

Currently, employees of the Green Lviv Municipal Utility Company are cleaning up the green space, which is littered with household waste, cutting down dangerous trees, chopping branches, and clearing away overgrowth. Dilapidated concrete structures are being dismantled.

The Lviv City Planning Department calls on residents of nearby houses, of which there are many, to join in the cleanup or organize cleanups on their own. They are also urged to keep the park clean and not to litter it, which will soon become a place of family leisure and recreation.

As a reminder, there are currently 7 parks with lakes in Lviv: Stryiskyi, Lake Levandivske, Sand Lakes, Ascension, Nut Grove, Pohulanka, and Snopkivskyi. Soon, the park on Lypynskoho-Lincolnoho Street will be added to this list.
