Early childhood care groups for children aged 12 months and older have been launched in three kindergartens in Lviv

At a meeting of the executive committee, three kindergartens, where groups for children aged 1 to 3 years have been operating since September, have increased their staff.

Children under the age of 3 require more care, so additional educators will work in these groups.

Last year, the Lviv City Council approved the “Playground of Changes” programme, which set up early childhood care groups in three preschools in Lviv for children who were 12 months old when they were enrolled in kindergarten.

“This is a pilot project, the experience of which we have adopted from our colleagues in Munich. From now on, three kindergartens have groups in which children from 12 months have developmental classes.

By the decision of the executive committee, we are introducing additional staffing units in these kindergartens – additional educators, because young children need more care and attention,” said Andriy Zakalyuk, head of the Lviv Education Department.
