The works were carried out on local public roads.
Last year, the Road Department of the Lviv Regional State Administration held a tender process to select a contractor to install road signs in the region.
Already this year, Traffic Management Group LLC has installed 400 new signs. They help drivers and pedestrians to better navigate the roads, which helps reduce accidents and ensures timely response to traffic conditions.
“An important aspect was the installation of 45 km of road markings. This allows for a clear delineation of traffic lanes, which significantly improves visibility and increases road safety at any time of the day,” said Yuriy Buchko, Deputy Head of Lviv Road Service.
“Special attention was paid to improving pedestrian crossings, which is crucial for pedestrian safety, especially near educational institutions in the region. In particular, we have arranged 1000 m² of crossing markings and applied warning signs “SCHOOL”, which draw the attention of drivers to the possible presence of children on the road,” says Orest Shulikovsky, Director of the Road Department of Lviv Regional Road Administration.
It is worth noting that ensuring proper road conditions is a key aspect for the comfortable movement of residents and reducing the number of road accidents. The implementation of these measures will help improve safety on the roads of Lviv region, as well as create safe and comfortable conditions for all road users.
