In Chervonohrad, the search for an air pollutant that is annoying residents of the city and its neighbourhood continues

The head of Chervonohrad District State Administration, Andriy Dyachenko, held an extraordinary district meeting of the Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations regarding the unpleasant smell that is bothering the residents of Chervonohrad.

This was reported by the Chervonohrad District State Administration.

 

According to Ruslan Chernyk, head of the Chervonohrad District Department of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, most complaints come from residents of Ivasyuk, Korolyova, Naberezhna and Mazepa streets.

Mayor Andriy Zalivsky said that the day before, the city council had sent an appeal to the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine with a request to carry out unscheduled supervision (control) of livestock and meat processing enterprises located near Chervonohrad.

The Sokal City Council was obliged to send the same request, as the businesses that carry out economic activities and could be potential sources of stench are located on the territory of the Sokal community.
