Drohobych has established a list of categories of citizens entitled to free bus travel

Who is entitled to free travel on public bus routes in Drohobych?

 

In accordance with the decision of the Executive Committee of the Drohobych City Council No. 132 of 12 May 2022, a fare of UAH 15 was approved for city bus routes of public transport in Drohobych.

The annex to the decision sets out the list of categories of citizens entitled to free travel on buses operating on public routes in Drohobych.

These include:

– Participants in combat operations (including ATO and JFO), ATO volunteers and family members of missing and captured servicemen

– Persons with disabilities as a result of war and a person accompanying a disabled veteran of group I

– Persons (Chornobyl NPP) referred to category I

– Persons participating in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chornobyl accident, belonging to category II

– Persons with disabilities of groups I, II

– A person accompanying a disabled person of group I

– Parents of a deceased serviceman

– Family members of a deceased war veteran

– Veterans of military service, veterans of law enforcement agencies, veterans of the tax police, veterans of the state fire service, veterans of the State Criminal Executive Service of Ukraine, veterans of the civil protection service, veterans of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, veterans of the National Police

– Rehabilitated persons (rehabilitated, victims of repression)

– Children from large families

We would also like to remind you that you can pay for public transport in the city by cashless payment. If you pay with an electronic plastic card “Drohobych Citizen Card”, the fare is UAH 13.

For privileged categories of people, holders of the “Drohobych Citizen Card”, 20 free rides are accrued monthly, which are not cumulative.

The right to 20 free rides per month is granted to

– old age pensioners

– persons with disabilities of group III;

– one of the parents of a child receiving assistance (a disabled child under the age of 18);

– a guardian of an orphan or a child deprived of parental care.

After using the right to 20 free rides, the fare for these categories of citizens is paid according to the current tariff.

Also, students of general secondary education institutions in Drohobych are entitled to free travel on city public transport during the school year from 07:30 to 20:30, upon presentation of a student card issued by the relevant general secondary education institution.

In the city of Stebnyk, carriers also provide free travel for school-age children upon presentation of student cards.
