Competition for Schoolchildren: Contribution to Sustainable Community Development
The beginning of a competition for schoolchildren in our community has been announced: ‘What can we do for the sustainable future of our community?’ Our community is on the path to ecological change! The competition provides an opportunity to combine the curiosity of students and the support of teachers in forming a vision for community development.
Conditions of Participation and Prizes
🎥 Format: Video recording or video animation (up to 1 minute, 720 dpi).
👥 Who can participate?
- Teacher (group leader) and students of grades 1–11 from community schools within one of the age categories:
- grades 1 to 4;
- grades 5 to 8;
- grades 9 to 11.
🏆 Prizes:
- Junior classes – a construction set;
- Middle classes – a STEM kit;
- Senior classes – a microscope with an adapter.
Key Dates
- Application submission: March 13 – April 2, 2025;
- Finalist selection: April 3 – 16, 2025;
- Winners announcement: April 17 – 23, 2025.

The competition is held as part of the project ‘Just Transition of Coal Regions and Green Recovery of the Energy Sector in Ukraine’, implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action of Germany (BMWK).
