Russian hackers attacked state registers of Ukraine: commentary by Olha Stefanishyna
Russian hackers have carried out a large-scale cyberattack on state registers that are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. This was announced by the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Minister of Justice Olha Stefanyshyna.

- Suspension of registries:
As a result of the attack, the functioning of the Unified and State Registries has been temporarily suspended. - Restoration work is underway:
The following registers are prioritised- : the State Register of Civil Status Acts;
- the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs;
- the State Register of Rights to Real Estate and Their Encumbrances.
Blocking of services in the Sokal ASC
The work of the Administrative Service Centre in Sokal related to these registers is currently completely blocked. This was reported by the Sokal City Council.
Recovery period
The Ministry of Justice estimates that the registries can be restored within two weeks.
The cyberattack has become yet another challenge for Ukraine’s digital infrastructure, underscoring the importance of cybersecurity and rapid response to such incidents.
