It is predicted that after 2:00 p.m. today, June 1, Sokal residents will receive water
This was reported to the Voice of Sokal region today by the deputy mayor of the city of Sokal Oleg Oliynyk.
As the residents of Sokal know, due to the accident at the sewage collector in Sokal, which occurred on May 29, most of the townspeople were left without water, and Sheptytskogo Street was partially blocked.
The situation was difficult. Because of this, on May 30, the vehicles of Sokalvodokanal, the State Emergency Service and the local fire brigades of the villages of Khorobryu and Spasiv carried water around the city. Local businesses also provided assistance to the townspeople by supplying water.
Today, as of 8:00 a.m. on June 1, the situation regarding the repair of the collector has become clearer – the Voice of Sokal region learned about it from the deputy mayor of Sokal, Oleh Oliynyk.
As of 8 a.m., the polypropylene sewer pipe insert has been installed – it connects the “healthy” parts of the collector into one. The length of the pipe is 12 meters. 2 sections of the reinforced concrete pipe were removed, which delayed the repair work. The new pipe is a special one that can withstand high pressure. Cut for pressure collectors. At this moment, one of the joints is connected, as it is atypical.
We are developing a special coupling that will be tightened with 3 metal clamps. Oleg Oliynyk clarified.
An additional problem was that pipes of different diameters were discovered at the bottom. At the moment, the connection point is being cleaned. They make clamps.
About the condition of the road and when the road will be completed
The crushed stone cushion in this part of the road is not significant, but there are three layers of asphalt of 6 cm each.
The area of the road is 15×5. More than 250 cubic meters of earth were excavated. Sand and screenings will be imported. Today, work will begin on filling this area and tamping. It is planned that the site will be opened in 2 days with a crushed stone coating. Then there will be additional filling and leveling of the road for natural subsidence.
What preceded the accident
Collector pipes in this place are concrete. I assume that the concrete itself in operation cannot withstand the load due to the presence of various chemical elements in the drains, – noted Oleg Oliynyk
The complication was the shedding of the soil, which was heavily saturated with water. The worst thing is that it was necessary to change 2 links of the pipe.
As of yesterday, Sokalvodokanal equipment, Volodymyr Kovalchuk FOP, Sokalzhitlokomunservice were involved at the accident site.
Also yesterday, the paramilitary mining and rescue squad of Chervonograd city provided assistance in installing a membrane in the sewer block. Without that, we would not have managed to block the drains, for which we are very grateful to them, – stressed Oleg Oliynyk. We worked at a depth of 5 meters, with a lot of air pollution.
We note that sewage is constantly being pumped into other wells.
