Drivers are urged to carefully enter all data when paying a fine for violating parking rules

The city’s security and street infrastructure department talked about the most common mistake drivers make when paying fines for parking violations.

Yes, often, when paying a fine, they do not indicate the series and number of the notice of administrative liability.

Because of this, the payment cannot be identified, and therefore credited.

Drivers are reminded that special attention should be paid to the tear-off receipt in the notice of administrative liability, which parking inspectors leave on the windshield of the car. There, in point #7, the series and number of the message are indicated. These data must be specified when paying the fine. If this is not done, it will be impossible to identify the payment and, accordingly, the receipt will not be credited.

“If you or the cashier of the bank did not indicate the series and number of the notice or resolution when paying the fine, such a receipt cannot be credited, due to the impossibility of identifying the paid fine,” the Department of Security and Street Infrastructure of the LMR explains.

Please note: Part 2 of Article 87 of the Law on Payment Systems states that the payer is responsible for the compliance of the information specified by him in the payment instructions.

The administration also emphasized: if the driver made a mistake when paying for the paid parking service and entered incorrect information on his car’s license plate and was issued a fine, then it is possible to appeal it only in court.

“When checking data on payment for parking services, the inspector uses data from the automated parking payment control system (ASCOP). A consumer’s mistake when paying for paid parking services, which consists, in particular, in entering inaccurate vehicle number plate data or incorrectly selected address of a paid parking lot, cannot be grounds for canceling the fine. After receiving the relevant resolution, the owner of the vehicle can challenge it in court.

In case of any questions, we encourage drivers to contact the management. We are open to dialogue and are always ready to provide a reasoned answer to questions and help solve this or that problem,” the Department of Security and Street Infrastructure of the LMR emphasized.
