Drohobych municipal services will clear the territory of Vynnychenko Street, which is located behind the tyre service centre at the intersection of Vynnychenko and Volodymyr Velykyi streets, of self-sown and unauthorised temporary structures.
The decision was made to prepare the area for the construction of a new road that will connect Volodymyr Velykyi Street with Parkova Street, in accordance with the city’s general plan.
As noted by the Greenery Department of the Municipal Utility Company “SMU”, as of today, the territory is occupied by self-seeding trees and bushes, as well as unauthorised temporary structures – fences and vegetable gardens. Residents of the neighbourhood cultivated the land here, but used it without any permits, by squatting.
As the area needs to be cleared and prepared for further road construction works, residents are asked to vacate the squatters’ land plots. Until the end of February, users can remove the temporary facilities they have installed and replant bushes or trees they wish to preserve.
Also, residents who have been using the land plots so far are asked not to start any gardening or horticultural work on this territory, as it cannot be used for gardening and horticulture.
