68 hromadas of the Lviv Oblast have already decided to start the heating season

Heat supply organisations are supplying heat to homes, and if there is no heat, you should contact the building’s balance sheet holder.

As of 28 October, 68 territorial communities in the region (93%) have decided to start the heating season.

This was reported by the Department of Fuel and Energy Complex, Energy Efficiency and Housing and Communal Services of the Lviv Regional State Administration.

In particular, the Sambir, Zhovkva, Drohobych, Boryslav and Stryi communities have started the heating season for all consumers, including the population.

On 25 October, Lviv City Council issued an order to start the heating season for all categories of consumers. Starting today, 28 October, heat will be gradually supplied to homes, with 130 boiler houses (70%) and 113 central heating stations (73%) connected as of mid-day.

The ratio of social sector institutions to the total number of those already connected to heat supply:

95% of healthcare institutions;

92% of preschool education institutions;

44% of educational institutions.

In addition, 51% of residential buildings in the region are supplied with heat.

The department adds that heat supply organisations supply heat to buildings, and in case of a lack of heat, it is necessary to contact the building’s balance sheet holder.

As a reminder, the temperature indicators allowed the Lviv region to enter the heating season in a planned manner. As a result, on 16 October, the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, signed an order setting out the main conditions under which the heating season begins at the local level, as well as the rules for response and information. Most communities have begun heating social infrastructure facilities, primarily pre-schools, healthcare and secondary education institutions.
