“Birds of Victory” to raise funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Drohobych

In July, a patriotic workshop for children, youth and parents called “Birds of Victory” was launched in Drohobych. The event was initiated by the Department of Family and Youth of Drohobych City Council.

According to the head of the department, Oleksandra Pashko, the useful and patriotic leisure time helps not only to develop the creative talents of the workshop participants, but also to support the soldiers, as some of the products will be sold at charity fairs on Independence Day.

“The Victory Birds are made of polymer clay. In addition to being beautiful, these products have a chance to become wonderful brooches, chokers, and complement a bracelet or other wardrobe item.

The patriotic workshops are held in the Drohobych City Council chamber (announcements about the event are available on the Facebook page of the Family and Youth Department) and bring together many people to participate in the creative process. The participants of the workshop not only make patriotic birds, but also fantasize about their ornaments and other interesting attributes.

Since each participant in the creative process makes several items, some of them are kept by the Family and Youth Department for a charitable cause – a fair in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The sale of the “Victory Birds” will take place on August 24 at Rynok Square as part of a large-scale Independence Day fair.

Employees of the Department of Family and Youth invite everyone to join the good cause and support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

We would like to add that on the occasion of the City Day, Drohobych decided to realize an ambitious goal – to raise one million hryvnias from all the events that will take place as part of the city’s celebration, as well as during the celebration of patriotic holidays such as Flag Day and Independence Day of Ukraine, to support the defenders.
