The work was carried out under the regional program and co-financed by the community.
Thanks to the implementation of the Comprehensive Program for Improving Energy Efficiency, Energy Saving and Renewable Energy Development in Lviv Oblast for 2021-2025, last year the Verkhnihusnenskyi Secondary School – a preschool education institution of the Borinskyi Village Council – replaced its heating system.
The Verkhnegusnensky secondary school was built in 1965. Energy costs for heating were significant. Therefore, under the Program, the institution replaced the heating system, installed 2 energy-efficient solid fuel boilers and pumps, and partially replaced the heating main.
The Borinsky village council submitted a project to replace the heating system in the Verkhnihusnenskyi ZOSO to the Department of Fuel and Energy Complex, Energy Efficiency and Housing and Communal Services of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
Having passed all the necessary stages, in October 2023, work began on the replacement of the heating system, for which a total of UAH 2.4 million was allocated, of which the regional budget amounted to UAH 1.5 million and the community’s funds – UAH 0.9 million.
“The implementation of such measures creates comfortable conditions in the premises of budgetary institutions of territorial communities, while saving money and energy,” said Bohdan Keivan, director of the department.
In total, in 2023, more than UAH 21.5 million was allocated from the regional budget for 19 territorial communities for the reconstruction and overhaul of external heating networks, internal heating systems, and the replacement of boilers with energy-efficient ones at social infrastructure facilities.
