This was announced by the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi.
Thus, 350 million hryvnias were allocated from the regional budget for the needs of Ukrainian soldiers during the first four months of the year. Of this amount, more than 200 million was allocated exclusively for drones and combat drones of various types. Electronic warfare equipment and drones are our top priority.
“We will continue to help the defense. However, legislative changes are needed to ensure that the aid reaches the defenders faster and communities support them more actively.
We expect the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to pass Law No. 9559, which will allow local communities to directly fund military units. Because now they spend a lot of time holding tenders, searching for equipment, purchasing and approving cost estimates with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The price of lost time is the health and sometimes the lives of our people. I emphasized this during the forum of communities and volunteers “Lviv region for the Armed Forces”, which was hosted by our region today,” said Maksym Kozytskyi.
