The European Union has agreed to provide 450 million euros in lethal weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces to fight the Russian invasion.<\/p>\n
This was announced by EU Foreign Minister Josep Borrell after an informal meeting of foreign ministers of member states, writes “European Truth”.<\/p>\n
“We have decided to provide lethal weapons, lethal aid to the Ukrainian army worth 450 million euros and a package of aid and another 50 million for non-lethal aid: fuel, protective equipment. We are doing this for the first time in history. All countries have agreed or at least not denied decision, “Borrel said.<\/p>\n
He also thanked Poland, which has agreed to become a transport hub for receiving this aid, which will continue to be sent to Ukraine.<\/p>\n
“Tomorrow, defense ministers will meet to discuss how to convert these finances into concrete aid and how to deliver it to the front line, where the Ukrainian military is fighting the Russian invasion,” Borrel added.<\/p>\n
