Over the past 24hrs, the Lviv region has received almost 10,000 people. Some of them stayed here, some went abroad. About 110,000 places for temporary stay of migrants have been deployed in the region, 92,000 of them have already been occupied. Ivan Sobko, Deputy Chief of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, spoke about this during a briefing.<\/p>\n
“We are actively working to increase the number of places for migrants, and for this we involve our budget sphere, in particular, cultural institutions, which, as in schools, will accommodate people to provide them with temporary shelter,” said Ivan Sobko.<\/p>\n
He also added that the budget sphere is functioning stably – employees are paid salaries, energy is paid.<\/p>\n
“According to the regional and local budgets of communities for the first two months of this year, we record the implementation and overfulfillment of plans. We admit a slight non-fulfillment of plans in March, but there are enough funds to keep the budget. Lviv region fully copes with the issues of life support of the region and the main task is to accept and provide comfort to Ukrainians who seek refuge here from the danger of Russian aggression, “said the deputy head of the Lviv OVA.<\/p>\n
Ivan Sobko also stressed that the burden on the budget sphere will only increase now, so he called on the heads of budget institutions and heads of territorial communities to become more active in volunteering and providing temporary housing and humanitarian assistance to IDPs.<\/p>\n
In addition, starting next week, the region plans to resume the educational process after the holidays. The training will be conducted online and children from other oblasts in the Lviv region will be able to join it.<\/p>\n
“Currently, the Department of Education and Science is compiling a list of schools that parents can apply to if they want their children to study online in a single educational platform, being here in the Lviv region,” Ivan Sobko added.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
