Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a leading specialist of one of the sectors of the High Qualifications Commission of Judges of Ukraine was suspected of receiving illegal benefits for influencing the decision of a person authorized to perform state functions (Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code).<\/p>\n
According to the investigation, the suspect promised to assist in employment in a position in the Western Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. The official demanded $ 2,000 for his influence.<\/p>\n
The issue of choosing a measure of restraint for the suspect and removing him from office is currently being resolved.<\/p>\n
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is carried out by the investigators of the SU GU NP in Lviv region, with the operational support of the USSR in the Lviv region DSR NP Ukraine.<\/p>\n
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and may not be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proved in law and established by a court conviction.<\/p>\n
