Under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a 41-year-old former employee of the Halych Customs was exposed and detained for demanding illegal gain to illegally influence officials of one of the region’s educational institutions (Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code).<\/p>\n
According to the investigation, the woman offered the residents of the region for $ 400 to resolve the issue of assisting officials of one of the centers for the state language proficiency test – the State Pedagogical University in Lviv region in successfully passing the state language proficiency exam and issuing a certificate.<\/p>\n
The woman was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine after the transfer of part of the amount of illegal gain.<\/p>\n
The detainee has now been notified of the suspicion and has been placed under house arrest.<\/p>\n
Measures to expose were carried out by prosecutors together with investigators of the Investigative Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of the region, with the operational support of the Ukrainian SSR in the Lviv region DSR NP Ukraine.<\/p>\n
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and may not be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proved in law and established by a court conviction.<\/p>\n
