Under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a resident of Ivano-Frankivsk was informed about the suspicion of organizing the illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine for selfish motives (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).<\/p>\n
According to the investigation, the suspect set up a channel of illegal migration abroad of Ukrainian citizens – conscripted men who are forbidden to leave the country, providing military records of unfitness for military service due to health problems. Thus, the defendant promised to send a conscript resident of Lviv region across the state border of Ukraine on the basis of a knowingly forged official document – a certificate to the act of examination by a special medical expert commission with false information about the establishment of 2 disability groups. This service cost $ 4,200.<\/p>\n
Militiamen detained the suspect according to Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. He was remanded in custody with the possibility of bail.<\/p>\n
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the Investigative Department of the State Unitary Enterprise in Lviv Oblast under the operational support of the Migration Police Department of the State Unitary Enterprise in Lviv Oblast.<\/p>\n
